In defense of Sherman.


For the last 4 hours you have been engaged in a physical, emotional and mental battle for your role in the history books. Your opponent has publicly criticized you and you have been fighting him all game long. This game has become a war. Your very life’s purpose and relevance seems to be crushed under the pressure of the millions of American’s watching and critiquing your every move. You are so close to winning, the finish line is in sight and you make the one play that seals your entrance into sport’s ultimate stage. The surge of adrenaline would be too vast to comprehend. The relief and joy would make any high dull by comparison. Then in this moment of sheer chemically induced euphoria and emotion, you are asked a question on live television.
